Pre-Readers

Very young children start learning the alphabet before they start school, usually pre-school. They learn to sing their "a b cs." The next steps are to:
  • learn the most common sound made by each letter
  • hear sounds at the beginning, middle and end of words
  • put letters together to make two and three letter words.
