Amanda became passionate about helping students who were struggling with literacy in her Honours year at university, when working with middle primary school students who had not yet learnt to read. From that time onwards she started developing her own resources to help and also extend students. Amanda has always had a love of both English and Mathematics. Amanda's favourite subject at school was Mathematics, followed by English, especially creative writing. She used to write stories in Infants School that were typed up and displayed in the school library. While at university she also developed a passion for essay writing and loves to help students of all ages develop their writing abilities. She initially started her undergraduate studies in Mathematics, with the aim of becoming a high school Mathematics teacher. Her love of writing as well as the creative arts, especially dance, drama and music, saw her change to primary teaching. She still retains her love of Mathematics.
