In this very popular board game with our students, learn about the power of the bossy e to make vowels say their name. Ideal for year 1 students and above, players move clockwise around the board matching words with and without a silent, bossy e such as mat and mate. Players identify which words have short vowel sounds as in mat and long vowel sounds as in mate. Players collect stars as they correctly identify sounds and match words and the player with the most stars wins. Digital download that prints on A4 paper although A4 cardboard is recommended. Word and star cards will need to be cut out. Counters or other playing pieces and a dice are required. Pleasure ensure you are able to open PDFs before purchasing.
